What I want to do....

I want to write.  Either typing or actually physically writing, ink on paper.

My problem is of course that I don't always have enough ideas to bring on the whole flow of the story.  Well, I have gotten the scrapings together of a plan in my head. My thought is to come up with an idea, then write out the story- not the finished story, but the basic flow of what happened.  Then from the story actually write what happened more real time like.  Who said what.  How the plot moved from there to here and on.  I have always liked fairy tales rewritten, so I think that I may do that.

My next assignment for myself is to read a bunch of fairy tales.  This should be easy for me since I have both the Brother's Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson's versions.  I also need to decide what will be the different factor in the story.  Will it be modern, or still set in ages past with something different.  It would be kind of neat to create a world that many of them could exist in and develop interactions between different stories characters.

Another idea I have includes the help of others who are also interested in writing.  If there were three or four of us, we could meet together and plot out the story.  Then we go our separate ways and write the story from the specific characters point of view.  After wards, we would meet more times in order to mesh the different perspectives.  I wonder if I could find people to help write a story like that.

Why I'm tired....

My vacation was glorious, but it's over now.  I'm back to work, and I work graveyard.  Also, I have to work and extra day this week to payback the day that someone worked for me on my vacation.  Not too much more to say on the subject of being tired.  :D

Why I'm elated...

Vacation is awesome!  Let's see I have already missed two days of work, and am currently missing my third day.  I've already driven to another state and back, hiked a challenging (for me) path to a beautiful waterfall, and camped out in the middle of nowhere for a night getting only two or three mosquito bites.  Awesome!  I'm sure this is crazy to mention and everyone on vacation feels a little bit of this, but I'm just plain excited to be away from work.  Not that my work is bad, it's not.  It's not amazing either, but it pays the bills.  I can't complain. 
Let's see, still on the vacation agenda:  Possibly a day fishing.  Probably visiting a large park in town and also the zoo.  Also some more camping with some family.  I just used also two times right next to each other.  Oh!  There it was again.  I think that there might be some English language rule against such a crime.  :D  Ha ha!!  It's my blog, I can write what I want!
Anyway, to sum up vacation is awesome!  I can't get enough...

Why I'm Sad....

I'm sad because my best friend and my brother, who have lived for the past two years, literally just around the block are moving.  They're moving across town.  Instead of a quick walk or quicker drive over, it will be 30-45 minutes to visit.  Perhaps it's silly, but I am very very sad about it.  They have two young boys, my nephews, that I love dearly and will miss seeing them on an almost daily basis!  I'm sure that we'll even out and find a good visiting schedule, but now, it's just sad sad sad!

Why I'm lucky...

I'm lucky for many reasons.  I guess this will be my counting my blessings post.  Well, I come from a big family.  I'm the fourth of seven children.  We are all pretty close.  Of course different individuals are closer than others, but that is to be expected.  My siblings and all very interesting and nice people that I'm proud to call siblings.  I have a best friend.  She married one of my brothers.  Actually, the one that I'm closest to.  It's all pretty amazing when I stop to think about it.  There house is always like a second home to me.  I always feel safe there. I don't mean to imply that there are places where I feel in danger, because my world is actually pretty safe, but what I mean is that I am emotionally safe there.  It is a place of complete acceptance.  I know that not everyone has that and I'm grateful for it!


Let's see, roof, food, clothes, etc...  I have all of that and so much more.

Blog Creation

So, today I created this blog.  As promised by the title, I expect that there will be many different types of posts.  I see no clear direction at this point.  I suppose the first thing on the agenda is to find a cool background.  I am ok with the one chosen from the website, however, I like to really customize things.  I wonder if there is a way to scroll through pictures.  I guess I'll just have to find a bunch of cool ones, and change it up pretty often.  In addition to this blog, my sister and I are creating a blog for the two of us to post to.  Actually, she is creating it and giving me editing power.  It should be fun.  It's a little funny to me that blogs have been around for so long now, and I'm only just beginning.  Here goes....
